Most blockchain systems were built on a simple assumption: the cryptography securing them would remain practically unbreakable.

That assumption is starting to be questioned not because it’s failing today, but because the environment around it is changing.

Quantum computing introduces a different way of solving problems. And while it’s still developing, it forces a more important question for builders:
