Why we bet on Arc early, and what we are building on top of it

 is undergoing a phase transition that most people are still underestimating.

The 600 trillion dollar global asset base is moving from rails originally designed in the 1970s when 

 were created, to rails designed for programmable ownership in real time.

Every major leap in financial infrastructure has compressed time. The telegraph compressed weeks into hours. SWIFT compressed days into minutes. The internet compressed branches into screens. Each compression unlocked an order of magnitude more economic activity than what came before.

The next compression is from minutes to milliseconds, and from manual to programmable. That is not an incremental improvement. That is the substrate of an entirely new financial economy.

There is a misunderstanding in our industry that institutions are slow to adopt new technology. They are not. They are slow to trust new technology with capital that has fiduciary obligations attached to it. Those are very different problems. The first is a marketing challenge. The second is an architectural one. Most chains were built to solve the first. Arc was built to solve the second. That is why institutional capital will land here, eventually and inevitably, regardless of how the rest of the market evolves.

We started building on Arc Testnet last October when most of the market was still distracted 

Today we run three composable layers on Arc.

Tokenized treasury yield through USYC vaults. Users deposit USDC/EURC, the protocol routes to USYC backed by short duration US Treasuries through Circle Teller, and yield accrues continuously. Real assets, real yield, no rebasing tricks.

Programmable distribution through payment streams. Yield and principal flow to recipients in real time. Salaries, rent, supplier payments, recurring revenue, all programmable, & more .. all on-chain. Two flavors ship today, classic streams for large amounts and long durations, nano streams for micro payments and short durations.

Agent native compliance through Firmata as our KYA layer. Know Your Agent 🤝

identity through ERC-8004. Reputation scoring. SLA tracking. Job evaluation. Usage logging. Because the next decade of finance is not 

just human to human, it is human to agent and agent to agent. That requires a compliance layer that scales beyond traditional KYC.

When we picked Arc in October, the bet was not on Arc as a chain. The bet was on Arc as a financial operating system.

A chain is a database. An operating system is a coordination layer for real economic activity. The difference matters because institutions do not move capital onto databases. They move capital onto systems that guarantee predictability, finality, and compliance at every step of the flow.
