Over the past few weeks, I’ve been building a small experimental payment application on Arc called 

The goal behind the project is straightforward: Make onchain payments feel as simple as scanning a QR code.

While blockchain infrastructure has evolved significantly, the payment experience for everyday users still feels unnecessarily complex. Simple actions often require users to:

For experienced users this may be manageable, but for mainstream adoption, the friction remains too high.

ArcQRPay started as an attempt to explore a different experience:

What Became Most Interesting During Development

One of the biggest realizations while building ArcQRPay was understanding how many systems need to coordinate behind a seemingly simple transaction.

This is where tools and infrastructure within the Arc ecosystem became especially meaningful to me.

help reduce a large amount of backend complexity, allowing builders to focus more on user experience rather than rebuilding infrastructure from scratch.

One important lesson became very clear during this process:

The challenge is no longer sending money onchain.

The real challenge is making blockchain infrastructure invisible to users.

In many ways, this is where Arc feels particularly interesting.

That direction makes building payment-related applications feel much more practical and meaningful.

But overall, building on Arc has been one of the most educational and technically interesting experiences I’ve had recently.
