Arc Transaction Memos: Structured transaction context for financial workflows on Arc
Financial workflows usually need more than a transaction hash.
They also need references: invoice IDs, customer IDs, payout IDs, account identifiers, settlement references, and internal metadata that helps finance, operations, and product systems understand what happened and why.
Transaction memos on Arc add that missing layer.

Memos let developers attach structured context to individual contract calls on Arc without modifying the target contract. Because the context is attached at the call level, it is better suited to multi-action and batch flows where transaction-level metadata can become ambiguous.
This matters for a wide range of applications built on Arc testnet. A payments team may want every transfer to carry an invoice reference. A treasury workflow may need internal settlement IDs. A fintech app may want to map deposits, withdrawals, and transfers back to a user or account. A payout system may need each payment in a batch to carry its own identifier.
Transaction memos on Arc are designed to make those flows easier to support.
It works with existing contracts, including USDC. It preserves the original sender. It emits Memo events for offchain indexing and analytics. And those Memo events are only emitted when the underlying call succeeds, which gives downstream systems a cleaner signal for reconciliation and reporting.
That makes memos practical for:
  • stablecoin payment reconciliation
  • batch payouts and disbursements
  • deposit and withdrawal attribution
  • user and account mapping
  • reporting and operational workflows that need structured context
Arc is built for financial applications with stablecoins. Transaction memos make those applications easier to connect to the systems around them.
