“Build me a payment app” can mean almost anything.

But once I describe the flow properly—who the user is, what they should be able to do, what happens after a transaction, and which parts need to stay simple—the starting point becomes much more useful.

It made me realize that AI-assisted development introduces a slightly different skill.

You still need to think like a developer, but before touching the code you have to think through the product clearly enough to explain it.

I’ve started writing the core flow first:

User connects → chooses action → reviews details → confirms → sees the result

Then I add edge cases and technical requirements after the basic experience makes sense.

Arc Studio can help turn that description into something you can work with quickly, but it can’t decide what your product should be.

For me, the biggest time saver isn't just generating code faster. It’s being able to test an idea early, realize what doesn't make sense, change the direction, and try again without spending hours setting everything up.
