Roles and badges within the Arc community
Community Contribution Opportunities, Roles, and Badges
Roles are granted through an application, invitation, or selection process and are subject to periodic review. Roles may be modified, paused, or reassigned based on program and ecosystem needs.
Please reference our FAQ below for questions regarding holding more than one community role at a time, role application response time, and role duration and renewal policies.
Architect Role
Eligibility: Tier 1+
Architects are eligible to receive and display a digital Architect badge in recognition of their participation in the Architects program.
If awarded, the badge will correspond to the Architect's current tier status in the Architects program.
Meetup Organizer Role
Eligibility: Architect (Tier 1+) + Community Event Experience + Strong Local Ecosystem Network
Available roles: We are accepting up to 3 Meetup Organizers per country at this time — roughly one per active priority meetup city.
Being an active chapter member or an existing Chapter Lead does not, on its own, qualify someone for the Meetup Organizer role. Applicants will be evaluated based on their experience and local relationships needed to expand Arc’s reach across their region’s broader technical ecosystem.
What We’re Looking For
Applicants should be able to demonstrate:
- Previous experience organizing successful meetups, conferences, hackathons, workshops, developer gatherings, or other relevant community events
- An extensive, established network that includes experienced developers, technical founders, engineering leaders, startup teams, universities, fintech companies, incubators, accelerators, and/or other relevant builder communities
- The ability to reach technical audiences beyond the existing Arc House members in their chapter
- The ability to expand Arc’s regional reach and connect chapter members with the broader local ecosystem
- Knowledge of where high-quality builders in their region gather and the ability to design programming that experienced technical audiences will find valuable
- Strong communication skills, dependability, and follow-through
- The ability to coordinate venues, speakers, attendees, photographers/videographers, and event logistics
Priority Cities
As the meetup program grows, Arc is prioritizing Meetup Organizer applications in the specific cities where we are actively launching or expanding chapters. Architects outside these cities may still apply, but applications may remain in the queue until we have capacity or a stronger regional need.
Existing countries / chapters where we're actively seeking organizers:
- Brazil: Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo
- APAC: Singapore
Priority cities we’re actively seeking organizers in:
- APAC: Tokyo (Japan), Seoul/Pangyo (South Korea), Hong Kong, Jakarta (Indonesia), Pakistan (Karachi)
- MEA: Dubai (UAE), Johannesburg (South Africa)
Meetups will launch only when a confirmed organizer is in place, so strong applications from these markets can directly accelerate an Arc House chapter's launch timeline. Priority markets and launch windows may change as the Arc ecosystem and community program evolve.
Quality Over Attendance
The goal of Arc Community meetups is not simply to bring existing Arc House members together or maximize attendance.
Meetups should help expand the Arc builder ecosystem by reaching experienced technical communities and introducing new, high-quality builders, founders, and organizations to Arc, while boosting brand awareness in the region — especially among institutions, developers, founders, and potential partners — and positioning Arc as a reputable industry leader.
We prioritize quality and relevance over raw attendance. A smaller meetup that brings together highly experienced developers, technical founders, engineering leaders, and relevant ecosystem participants can be more valuable than a much larger event with limited technical depth or connection to the local builder ecosystem.
Arc community meetups hosted by Meetup Organizers are independently organized and operated by the host in their personal capacity.
Program Support
Meetup Organizers may request reimbursement for certain pre-approved expenses associated with an approved Arc Community meetup.
Reimbursement is not compensation for planning services.
All budgets and expenses are subject to the applicable meetup approval and reimbursement processes. Organizers are also allowed to secure additional funding from external sponsors for food/bev, merch, prizes, signage, and venue costs.

Technical Speaker Role
Eligibility: Technical Speakers are Tier 1+ Architects, or invited experts, with deep, demonstrated knowledge of Arc and the ability to communicate technical information clearly and accurately
Available roles: We will only be accepting 3 technical speakers per country at this time.
What Makes a Strong Technical Speaker
We look for:
- Current, hands-on experience building on Arc
- A strong understanding of Arc’s technical capabilities, use cases, and ecosystem
- Strong presentation, teaching, and technical communication skills
- Examples of technical talks, demos, workshops, applications, educational materials, or other relevant content
- Good judgment about the limits of their knowledge and when to direct questions to the Arc team
Technical Speakers may create and deliver original talks, workshops, demos, presentations, and other educational content at approved meetups, hackathons, universities, conferences, and community events.
Strong development skills alone do not qualify someone for the Technical Speaker role.
Speaking Opportunities
Technical Speakers may be invited to speak at Arc Community events or may discover relevant speaking opportunities in their own regions.
If an external organization invites you to speak specifically in your capacity as an Arc Technical Speaker, follow the applicable external speaking and event process before making commitments involving Arc or Circle.
Technical Speakers remain independent community participants and should be clear about their role when speaking externally.
Travel and Program Support
For an approved speaking opportunity, Technical Speakers may request reimbursement for certain pre-approved hotel and ground transportation expenses.
Airfare is not currently covered for Technical Speaker travel.
Do not book travel or assume reimbursement is available until the applicable expenses have been approved.
Reimbursement is not compensation for services.

Community Moderator Role
Eligibility: Tier 2+ Architects, Appointed Chapter Lead, or Invited
Architects who are active in Arc House or Discord and demonstrate good community judgment may apply or be invited to become a Community Moderator.
Community Moderators are granted moderation privileges in Arc House and/or Discord. This may include helping:
- Moderate discussions
- Flag or remove spam and suspicious activity
- Surface member, account, or points issues
- Keep conversations useful and on-topic
- Mark questions as accepted answers
- Escalate issues that need Arc team support
What Makes a Strong Community Moderator
We look for:
- Helpful and respectful participation in the community
- Good judgment when handling community issues
- Clear written communication
- Familiarity with Arc House and/or Discord
- Ability to recognize spam, scams, and inappropriate activity
- Alignment with Arc community guidelines
- Good judgment about when something should be escalated rather than handled independently
Community Moderator access may be especially useful for Chapter Leads, since it allows regional teams to help manage routine member, spam, and chapter issues directly.

Regional Chapter Roles
Arc regional chapters are built by community members contributing in different ways, from helping with chapter activities to building relationships across an entire country or broader region.
These are not automatic progression tiers, and you do not need to be an Architect at the time of application for a chapter role. Chapter Contributor recognizes active participation, while Chapter Lead and Country Lead reflect different scopes of community leadership and ecosystem experience. Members can contribute in the way that best fits their experience, interests, availability, and regional needs.

Badges: Chapter Contributors, Chapter Leads, and Country Leads will receive a role-specific badge that appears next to their avatar on their Arc House profile, replacing their Architect tier badge.
Chapter Contributor
Eligibility: Any Active Arc House Regional Chapter Member
Chapter Contributors are community members who want to actively help strengthen their regional chapter.
This is a recognition badge, not a points-based role.
Ways Chapter Contributors Can Get Involved
Chapter Contributors can help based on their interests and skills, including:
- Community: Welcome members, start conversations, and connect members
- Virtual Events: Help with setup, promotion, speakers, moderation, and follow-up
- Meetups: Support approved Meetup Organizers with promotion, check-in, photos, setup, and event logistics
- Content: Help write chapter recaps, builder spotlights, event programming content, and community highlights
- Builder and Ecosystem Connections: Surface interesting builders, projects, communities, universities, institutions, and local opportunities
- Technical Support: Help builders find resources and support technical community activities
- Moderation: Help surface spam, suspicious activity, or member issues to appointed Community Moderators and chapter leads
- Localization: Translate or adapt content and resources for the local community
These are ways to contribute, not separate roles or job titles. Contributors can help in one or several areas.
Official in-person meetup hosting, technical speaking, and community moderator permissions require the applicable Arc role(s) listed above.
Chapter Contributor Badge
The Chapter Contributor badge recognizes members who are currently and consistently contributing to their regional chapter.
The badge:
- Does not require tracking hours or individual tasks
- Is not a regional leadership role
- Reflects active contribution rather than a permanent achievement
Regional Leadership teams will add and remove Chapter Contributors in their region's Regional Chapter Tracker. The Arc team will review these lists and grant or remove the badge based contributors’ level of active participation. The badge can be granted again if someone becomes active again in the future.
Chapter Lead
Eligibility: Application, Selection, or Invitation
Chapter Leads are Architects who help strengthen an Arc regional chapter and connect it with the broader local ecosystem.
Chapter Leads may help:
- Build and maintain an active Arc House regional chapter community forum and virtual event rhythm
- Coordinate chapter programming and Chapter Contributors
- Identify promising chapter members: developers, projects, and opportunities
- Build local relationships with experienced developers, startups, fintech institutions, universities, founders, and other relevant technology ecosystems
- Surface regional insights and community needs
- Connect builders with relevant Arc resources
Each chapter will have multiple Chapter Leads. Chapter Leads are encouraged to work together as one chapter team, with people contributing in different areas based on their interests, experience, and strengths.
Chapter Leads who are interested in growing into a Country Lead role over time are encouraged to build meaningful relationships across their broader local ecosystem.
Country Lead
Eligibility: Application, Selection or Invitation + Proven Country-Level Ecosystem Experience
Country Leads provide country-level strategy, coordination, and ecosystem leadership across Arc's community activities in their market.
This role is intended for experienced ecosystem builders who already have a deep, established network across their country and a track record of building communities, programs, events, or ecosystems there.
Country Leads help bring Arc's community activity across the country together under a shared strategy, programming plan, and budget.
What Country Leads May Help With
- Develop a country-level strategy based on local ecosystem needs and opportunities
- Work with Chapter Leads and Chapter Contributors to align programming, events, and priorities across the country
- Develop a plan for how an approved country budget could be allocated for the greatest impact
- Mentor Chapter Leads and help surface challenges or opportunities across the country team
- Connect Chapter Leads with builders, speakers, venues, universities, institutions, communities, and other useful relationships
- Surface important country-level insights, needs, and opportunities to the central Arc team
Country Leads do not replace Chapter Leads or independently run every chapter activity. Their role is to set broader direction, connect people and opportunities, and help chapter teams execute locally.
Country budget plans and expenses remain subject to applicable Arc approval and spending policies. Country Leads may help recommend how resources are allocated but should not make financial commitments on behalf of Arc or Circle without approval.
What We're Looking For
Applicants should be able to demonstrate:
- Years of established relationships across their country's developer and technology ecosystem
- Strong personal connections with experienced developers, technical founders, engineering leaders, startups, universities, institutions, incubators, accelerators, and relevant communities
- A track record of building or leading communities, DevRel programs, startup ecosystems, events, or similar initiatives
- Ability to develop a strategic country-level programming and budget plan
- Experience prioritizing resources across multiple opportunities
- Strong knowledge of the country's fintech and stablecoin landscape, developer communities, universities, startup hubs, major events, and key ecosystem players
- Experience mentoring, coordinating, or supporting other community leaders
Reminder: Being an active Chapter Lead, hosting many Arc events, or accumulating Architect points is not enough on its own to qualify for Country Lead. Country Leads are selected from existing Chapter Leads or experienced ecosystem builders who have already established meaningful relationships and credibility across their country's ecosystem and can use that experience to strengthen Arc's strategy, programming, and community at a country level.

FAQ
Can I hold more than one Arc House community role?
Members may hold more than one community role at the same time, such as Chapter Lead, Community Moderator, Meetup Organizer, or Technical Speaker, as long as they meet the eligibility and selection criteria for each role and can remain active in each. Selection for one role does not automatically grant or guarantee selection for another. Roles may be adjusted if a member’s availability changes or program needs evolve.
I applied! Now what? How will it take to hear the next steps?
The Arc team will review your application and may contact you for a conversation or additional information. Most applicants should expect an update within approximately four to six weeks, although timing may vary based on application volume and current program needs.
How long will I hold my Arc House community roll?
Chapter Lead and Country Lead roles do not have a fixed end date or require members to reapply at each review. These roles will be reviewed at least every six months based on participation, follow-through, impact, and current chapter and program needs. Members who expect to become inactive or can no longer contribute should notify the Arc team.
Following a review, a member may continue in the role, be considered for a different role, or have the role paused or removed. A role may also be reassigned if a member becomes inactive, their availability changes, or the needs of a chapter, country, or region evolve. Someone who steps away may be considered for a role again in the future. Chapter Contributor activity and badge status are reviewed separately as described above.
Architects are independent Arc community participants and are not employees or agents of Circle Technology Services, LLC ("CTS"), any of its affiliates or the Circle Arc team (collectively, "Circle"). Participation in the Architects program does not create any employment, agency, partnership, joint venture, fiduciary, or other formal relationship with Circle. Architects may not make statements on behalf of Circle, unless expressly authorized in writing to do so. Architects may not bind Circle in any respect. Certain roles or opportunities are subject to additional terms and prior approval.
